Peroulades is definitely a place to see in Corfu. It is practically abandoned now but is most famous for its impressive cliffs. The sunsets are magnificent there. Or you can simply come and have a drink or a meal at the little restaurant that bears its name well: the 7th heaven ! There is a very small beach below and swimming at the foot of this immense cliff is an experience in itself …
The star attraction of Peroulades is undoubtedly Logas Beach, often referred to as Sunset Beach. Its name alludes to the breathtaking sunsets that grace the horizon here. The beach features soft, golden sands that gently slope into the clear Ionian waters. What sets Logas Beach apart is its striking sandstone cliffs that form a natural balcony. From this vantage point, visitors can admire the azure sea stretching into the distance and witness the mesmerizing sunsets that have made Peroulades famous.
As the sun dips below the horizon, it paints the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple, casting a warm glow over the tranquil waters. This nightly spectacle is a testament to the natural beauty of Peroulades and makes Sunset Beach an ideal spot for romantic moments and photography.
Peroulades is located on the north east corner of Corfu island, not very far from Sidari, only 20 minutes away from Acharavi. There is a vast car park where you can drop your car. It is then very easy to reach the beach through a small staircase.
Peroulades beach, also called Logas beach, was once larger. An old advertising banner also shows deckchairs and parasols. But they are long gone! Since then, the sea has taken over all the space and the beach is now very narrow.
Swimming next to a 30 meter high cliff is somehow very impressive.
7th Heaven is a nice bar and restaurant with an amazing view, especially at sunset. If you’re not afraid of heights, you can stand on a small platform with a glass floor that allows you to look out to the sea 30 meters below you. It’s like walking on air! Their cocktails are pretty good.
According to the legend a French couple went there and fell under the charm of the place. They promised to each other eternal love. This place was named canal d’amour after this legend. If you are single, go swim there and you will get married in the following year !
It is a nice place to visit, but not during high season, way too crowded.
