Perched on the dramatic cliffs of Corfu’s northwest tip, Peroulades is one of the island’s most spectacular spots. It’s famous for the towering sandstone cliffs above Logas Beach, the sunsets seen from the 7th Heaven bar, and the quirky Canal d’Amour just along the coast at Sidari. I like to come up here at the end of the afternoon to watch the sun drop into the Ionian Sea — it’s one of my favourite sunsets on Corfu.

Where is Peroulades

Peroulades is located on the northwest corner of Corfu island, not very far from Sidari and only about 20 minutes from Acharavi. There is a vast car park where you can leave your car, and it’s then very easy to reach the beach and the clifftop viewpoints on foot, down a small staircase.

You’ll really want a car to get here, as the northwest tip is poorly served by buses. Prices rise in high season, so book ahead — I use DiscoverCars to compare car hire deals at Corfu (CFU) airport, which searches all the local and international agencies at once.

Peroulades Beach (Logas Beach)

Peroulades beach, also called Logas Beach, was once larger. An old advertising banner even shows deckchairs and parasols — but they are long gone! Since then the sea has taken over the space, and the beach is now very narrow.

Swimming right next to a 30-metre-high cliff is somehow very impressive. It’s not the beach for a long lazy day on the sand — it’s the setting, the towering ochre cliffs and the light, that make Logas unforgettable.

7th Heaven

7th Heaven is a lovely bar and restaurant with an amazing view, especially at sunset. If you’re not afraid of heights, you can stand on a small platform with a glass floor that lets you look straight down to the sea 30 metres below — it’s like walking on air! Their cocktails are pretty good too.

Canal d’Amour

According to legend, a French couple once fell under the charm of this place and promised each other eternal love — which is how Canal d’Amour, at nearby Sidari, got its name. The story goes that if you’re single and swim through the canal, you’ll be married within the year!

It’s a fun place to visit, with its unusual sandstone formations carved into small channels and caves by the sea — but avoid high season, when it gets way too crowded.

Best Time to Visit Peroulades

Peroulades is all about the light, so timing matters. The undisputed highlight is sunset: this is one of the few spots on Corfu where you look due west over the open sea, and the low sun sets the sandstone cliffs glowing gold and orange. Arrive an hour or so before sunset to grab a table at 7th Heaven or a spot on the clifftop.

For the beach and Canal d’Amour, come early in the morning or in the shoulder season (late spring or early autumn) to avoid the midday crowds.
