From Bangkok you can easily catch a flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia to visit Angkor.

Unless if your main target is night life I recommend you to avoid Patong and to stay at Rawai Beach, more casual and authentic. But wherever you stay you will find golden sands and azure waters. If you have enough time, Phi Phi Islands, a short boat ride away, enchant visitors with their pristine beauty and crystal-clear waters. Transitioning from beach bliss to cultural immersion, a visit to the Big Buddha offers panoramic views of the island. And exploring Old Phuket Town reveals a rich tapestry of Sino-Portuguese architecture and culinary delights. Transitioning from day to night, the island comes alive with bustling night markets and lively entertainment venues.

More in the north, after crossing the bridge which connects Phuket to the main land, I do recommend to go to Samet Nagshe Viewpoint. After that you can have lunch at Hin Rom Pier and take a tour from there to James Bond island !

Koh Samui: Island Bliss of Thailand
